We’re on the lookout for an experienced Direct Sales Agent to focus on the following product suites: Business Internet LTE, Wireless, Wireless Air, and Fibre for business clients. The role involves expanding market acceptance of the brand, enhancing the company's sales output, and taking full accountability for assigned monthly targets as set by the Regional Team Leader. The goal is to increase new sales through new business generation, promoting the company's new business solutions and technologies to the market. The position emphasizes aggressive direct Business Internet sales and achieving defined targets. Projects may change according to client requests from time to time.

Responsibilities of a Direct Sales Agent:
  1. Daily Field Activities:
    • Meet and exceed monthly direct Business Internet sales targets (target: 25 per month).
    • Conduct at least 20 visits per day to businesses, SMEs, or SOHOs as part of regional execution.
    • Maintain and update the daily, weekly, and monthly sales pipeline.
    • Follow up on new leads and referrals to grow the daily pipeline.
    • Participate in daily product training via Teams or on-site with the RTL.
    • Monitor and submit travel summaries daily to the RTL for approval.
    • Engage in daily and weekly feedback sessions with line management regarding activities and sales.
    • Ensure proper attire, uniform, and presentation as per guidelines.
    • Coordinate with RTL, Regional Manager, and Single Point of Contact on strategic matters.
  2. Reporting Tasks:
    • Complete and submit daily activity and sales reports to the RTL.
    • Record competitor activities and field operations.
    • Address and resolve red flags promptly.
    • Submit monthly travel logs with 100% accuracy.
  3. Sales Targets:
    • Achieve at least 25 approved Business Internet sales monthly, with a minimum of 12 Wireless, Wireless Air, or Fibre sales to qualify for commission.
    • Facilitate orders and quotes to expedite sales processing.
    • Organize at least one quality promotion per week in the designated area with the RTL.
    • Ensure monthly sales targets are met.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager , the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for servicing Northern Cape clients by, achieving assigned personal sales targets, and executing sales tasks in assigned channel in accordance with the Artisan Sales Strategy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITES
  • Deliver sales target for channel in assigned area.
  • Explore new sales potential via new customers, new SKU per customer.
  • Collect market information including competition information; analyse and submit to direct supervisor.
  • Deal with issues related to customers, search for optimal solutions for customers
  • Collaborate with Technical Dept to perform technical support to customer.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Dept in customer events: Demo tour, Seminars, New product launch.
  • Coordinate with other departments for the orders processing, information processing and requests from customers.
  • Makes sales forecast and be responsible for the accuracy of sales forecast.
  • Is responsible for debt and any late payment or bad debt from customers.
  • Assist and coordinating with the Sales Manager for planning and action to develop market share in assigned area.
  • Perform regular sales report and market report as required by direct supervisor.
  • Other tasks assigned by manager.
PROFILE
  • Matric and Diploma: Sales/Marketing;
  • Experience: > 3-5 years in Sales, B2B is preferable, Food sector (FMCG Market) is preferable;
  • Languages: English, Afrikaans, Zulu will be advantageous;
  • Other expertise: Business & result driven, presentation skill, strong interpersonal skills: establishes easily contacts, sales and negotiation skills, team player
