Main purpose of position Currently we are looking for an Environmental and Social Advisor in Cape Town, South Africato be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. The Environmental and Social Advisor will help to ensure that Scatec projects deliver on their commitments and obligations in relation to environmental and social aspects. As our E&S Compliance Coordinator, you will lead all E&S work streams for a number of solar and wind projects in different southern African regions, in compliance with IFC Performance Standards, other lender requirements, local law and regulations and Scatec policies.

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure and quality assure the development of project-specific, feasible and IFC Performance Standards compliant ESIAs, ESMPs and ESMS.
  • Scope and manage E&S technical requirements in selection of environmental service contractors as per local environmental requirements and supervise compliance of contractors and subcontractors.
  • Manage workstreams within the overall Project timeline, budget and risk framework, in close coordination of the other functions involved in the development and construction of the Project.
  • Liaise with HSSE teams of SSO and subcontractors’ and support and train on environmental management.
  • Actively participate in regional sustainability network and provide expert opinion on E&S issues across the Company’s global project portfolio.
  • Coordinate Sustainability efforts between projects and ensure annual planning as well relevant monitoring and reporting for internal reports.
  • Participate in team meetings as required.
  • Provide relevant environmental and social information for internal reports.

Qualifications and competencies

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/ University degree within economics, accounting, business or environmental/climate science
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an environmental and social environment position
  • Preferable knowledge from the renewable energy industry
  • Environmental and Social Governance: Plan and advise local teams on Infrastructure projects
  • Sustainability reporting: Contribute to annual Sustainability report
  • Corporate and Local Sustainability Projects: Propose and manage implementation of UN SDG and local legislation
  • Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS): Contribute, update, and execute the ESMS system platform
  • Equator Principles and IFC Performance Standards: Ensure compliance with ESIA and ESAP to Equator Principles and IFC Perf Standards
  • E&S compliance of contractors and subcontractors: Report to lenders requirements
  • ESG reporting requirements: Advise and ensure compliance with requirements and regulations
  • Supervise and when required manage the processes of obtaining required environmental licenses and permits as per South African legislation
  • Understanding of South African Environmental Legislation: National Environmental Management Act (NEMA), National Environmental Management: Biodiversity (Act 10 of 2004); Conservation of Agricultural Resources Act – CARA (Act 43 of 1983), National Water Act, No 36 of 1998

Duties and Responsibilities As a Border Patrol Agent (BPA) you will be part of our 60,000 workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation’s economic prosperity. Being a BPA makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession. Typical activities include: Detecting, preventing, and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the land borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions. Responding to electronic sensor alarms; interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence; using infrared scopes during night operations. Responding to aircraft sighting and other anti-smuggling activities and performing farm and ranch checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks. Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways and using a variety of government assets to accomplish the USBP mission. Qualifications You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one of the following: Experience: One year of general work experience that demonstrates the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations; to learn regulations, methods, and techniques through classroom training and/or on-the-job instruction; and the ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation, and examination of documents and records; OR Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited or college or university; OR will receive a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university within nine (9) months from the closing date of this announcement and will upload all official or unofficial transcripts before the closing date of this announcement; OR Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of general work experience AND successfully completed college education. Preparing investigative reports, serving court orders (e.g., warrants, subpoenas, etc.) and gathering evidence for criminal cases prosecuted through the court system. You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Developing and utilizing intelligence information to track illegal operations and/or contraband. Leading investigations of fraud, contraband, and/or illegal operations to determine sources and patterns. Utilizing various forms of complex technology that includes surveillance, detection, situation awareness systems, and communications equipment to aid in the apprehension of violators of state, federal, or immigration laws. Communicating assignments and training peers on the application of the appropriate law enforcement problem-solving methods, investigative techniques, and other law enforcement procedures. Working with law enforcement officials or government agencies to identify and/or apprehend violators of state, federal, or immigration laws. We’re looking for a Creative Director to lead the end-to-end storytelling and creative development of branded video content that positions Binance as the most trusted, engaging, and culturally relevant voice in crypto and Web3. From shortform insights to longform explainers, interviews, and campaign-led storytelling, you’ll shape the content we create and how we bring it to life visually. This is a hands-on creative leadership role for someone who can blend editorial sharpness with creative direction, managing multidisciplinary teams and external partners to produce bold, smart, and impactful video. You’ll collaborate closely with writers, art directors, motion designers, agencies and producers—driving clarity of message and consistency of look, tone, and feel across every format.

Responsibilities
  • Creative & Editorial Direction: Lead the creative development of branded video content—from concept and scripting to visual execution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with writers, designers, and motion teams to bring ideas to life with clarity and flair.
  • Innovation & Creative Growth: Champion new storytelling formats and platform-first thinking.
  • Team Leadership & Quality Control: Work with a lean team of writers and creatives working across formats.
Requirements
  • 10+ years in creative or content leadership roles—across brand storytelling, editorial, or digital video.
  • Strong writing or content strategy background, with a sharp eye for narrative structure and messaging.
  • Proven experience in leading creative teams and overseeing high-quality, multi-format content.
  • Confident working across both verbal and visual creative development—from first idea to final edit.
  • Comfortable collaborating with production, editorial, and motion design functions.
  • Experience in crypto, fintech, or other technically complex sectors is a plus.
  • Familiarity with 3D/motion and AI-enhanced storytelling workflows is highly desirable.

Job Summary

South Africa faces a critical youth employment challenge, with over 3.5 million young people aged 15–24 not in education, employment, or training (NEET). In response, the Government of South Africa has demonstrated a formidable commitment through the establishment of the Presidential Youth Employment Intervention (PYEI), a flagship initiative representing a substantial national investment in tackling this issue.

Generation Unlimited (GenU) is a global multi-stakeholder partnership dedicated to ensuring that every young person is in education, learning, training, or employment by 2030. In South Africa, GenU aims to skill and connect 1.5 million young people to opportunities in training, entrepreneurship, work, and social impact by 2030, in support of national goals.

Responsibilities

Under the overall supervision of the Deputy Representative and direct supervision of the Innovation Specialist, the consultant will support UNICEF/GenU South Africa by creating an integration strategy to align/embed GenU with government efforts, conducting a comprehensive scoping of the private sector landscape related to youth opportunities, developing a strategy for private sector engagement around youth livelihoods, skilling, and employment, and conducting comprehensive scoping on digital marketplace systems in South Africa that offer work/gig opportunities to self-employed/entrepreneurial youth.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: An advanced degree (Master's or higher) in Economics, Business Development, Development Studies, Public Policy/Administration, Public Relations, International Relations, Youth Development, Partnerships, or related field
  • Work Experience: At least 10 years of professional experience, with proven experience in private sector engagement, partnership strategies within government, youth employment and development, in South Africa
  • Skills: Advanced degree in required disciplines, knowledge of the South African youth development landscape, systems integration expertise desired, familiarity with Generation Unlimited/UNICEF agendas is desirable
  • Language Requirements: Demonstrates proficiency in required languages (English, local or UN language)
