Clinical Nurse Manager - Hetti Perkins Home for the Aged

About the role

To support the continued focus on person-centered care within the organisation, ARRCS is actively recruiting an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to join our team at the Hetti Perkins Aged Care Facility .

Located in Alice Springs, NT , this role will see you responsible for coordinating our consumers in residential care; leading and managing staff (nursing and care assistants) to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, person-centered care.

This critical role is being recruited on a permanent, full-time basis and offers the following remuneration:

• Penalty-driven hourly rate for an Aged Care Registered Nurse Level 3 ranging from $48.12 - $50.54 gross base per hour, dependent on experience.
• In addition to your base salary, this role attracts a $50,000 annual bonus for the first 2 years of employment. This bonus increases your hourly rate to approximately $73.42 - $75.84 / hour gross base .

The position also involves creating an environment conducive to learning, overseeing education programs, monitoring professional standards, and ensuring safe and efficient patient care through performance management.

This role is suited for a Registered Nurse with clinical and management experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a multidisciplinary team. You should be hands-on in your management style and enjoy mentoring staff.

Hetti Perkins is a 60-bed Indigenous service, home to people from various local communities and language groups. At ARRCS, we aim to develop an Indigenous workforce equipped to provide culturally appropriate care.

Skills & experience

Candidates should possess:

• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse, ideally within aged care.
• Experience in leading, coaching, or mentoring healthcare staff.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory legislation.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coach staff.
• A commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards.
